Welcome to the new school year! I intend to use this website to keep parents and students informed about my classes throughout the year. Please bookmark this site so that you can easily find it in the future.
Here are a few resources, specific to my classroom, that you'll need to have or know about as we begin our new trimester together.
Our classes will be using Google Classroom for assignments and turning them in. Parents, CLICK HERE for a guide on how to use it.
***Grades will NOT be input into Google Classroom. We will be using Infinite Campus for ALL grades.***
Any assignment that has been turned in past the due date MUST be accompanied by the Missing Assignments and Corrections Form (which can be accessed through your Google Classroom or by clicking here), otherwise your work will not be graded.
Please submit a separate form for each assignment you are turning in.
Students will have until two weeks past the due date to turn in any missing assignment or corrections with no penalty. Beyond this timeframe the assignment will be considered late and will receive a maximum of 80% credit.
Should circumstances arise that make submission of missing assignments or corrections within this timeframe impossible, please communicate with Mr. Towber (william.towber@jeffco.k12.co.us) so that we can formulate a plan moving forward.
Once turned in, missing assignments and corrections will NOT be graded immediately, and may take up to a week to be graded.
Pattern behavior of turning in Google Classroom assignments blank (three times or more is considered pattern behavior) will result in a ZERO for that assignment, as well as for any assignments turned in blank afterwards. It will also affect your DRAKE Way grade for the week.
If your work is incomplete, you should leave the assignment as missing and NOT simply hit Turn In. You may also choose to turn in what you have for partial credit.
If you need more time to complete an assignment, please email me to ask for an extension.
Pattern behavior of arriving late to class (three times or more is considered pattern behavior) will result in a lunch detention. It will also affect your DRAKE Way grade for the week.
Being on time means that you are in your seat and logged into your computer when the bell rings.
If students need to inform me of any missing assignments or corrections that they have turned in past the due date, they should use the Missing Assignments and Corrections form found in our Google Classroom or by clicking here.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at william.towber@jeffco.k12.co.us . As always, I am committed to your student’s success.
Let's have a great year!
William Towber
