Check your grades at least twice a week.
Click on every class, scroll to the current date, and review your assignments, scores, and comments.
Write down any questions you have so you can ask your teacher.
If you're absent, find out what you need to do to make up the work.
Check Google Classroom for each of your classes.
Talk to a trusted classmate to fill you in on what you missed.
Ask your teacher if you have questions.
Make sure you turn in your make up work 2 days after your absence.
Come prepared to class.
Charge your device every night.
Know when assignments are due and keep track of your work.
Use a planner or an online calendar to help.
YOU are the one who is responsible for your grades.
If you don't understand something or you need help with classwork, you need to talk to your teacher.
Ask for help in class, come see us after school, email us, or talk to us at another appropriate time.
Check your student's grades weekly.
Grades are checked in Infinite Campus. Your child should be able to explain their grades. If they have questions, have them talk to or email us.
Students with a D or F in any class will prompt an automated phone call from Bell.
Make sure your child is charging their device.
If your child is having difficulties in class, have them talk to us about ways to get extra help.
Help your child if they've been absent.
Many sixth graders have trouble figuring out what they need to do if they miss school. You can help by sitting with them and reviewing each classes' assignment. Information for most classes can be found on the links on this website and in Google Classroom
Are you wondering about homework?
Your child should be reading for at least 20 minutes every night.
Also, students should keep track of upcoming assignments and project due dates. Some projects will require work outside of class.
They may need to work on classwork at home if they did not finish it in class.
