About Mrs. Yelton

My name is Nicole Yelton.  This will be my 14th year teaching and my seventh year at Summit Ridge.  I am excited for a new year and a new adventure. This year will be amazing because we will be together: learning, taking risks, and making mistakes. 

I have been married to my husband, Alan, for 14 years. We have two wonderful boys: a 10-year old named Cooper and a 8-year old named Johnathon.  We love living in Colorado and we enjoy spending time outdoors.  

I believe that every child can learn and achieve their goals.  I strive to get students to think deeply about what they are learning and I encourage them to ask questions.  Students learn best by doing, so I incorporate many hands on learning experiences into the classroom.  My goal is to instill a love of learning into kids and to make math FUN!  Learning lasts a lifetime and the benefits of a strong education are endless.
