Hi! I'm Mrs. Whipple!  This is my fourteenth year of teaching and my sixth here at Swanson.  I am very excited to be a part of this hard-working community.  I love the connections made during the school year with students and families.  I'm looking forward to working with your students. 

I am from Iowa and moved to Colorado nine years ago with my husband, Kirk.  My days outside of school are spent chasing our two daughters, Silvi (5) and Della (2).  They keep us busy! When not at Swanson or playing with Silvi and Della, I love to travel, read, and spend time with friends.  Kirk and I love to try new places to eat and getting outside as much as we can. 

Our classroom is a place of hard-work and fun.  My favorite part of teaching is seeing light bulbs of understanding go off with my students. We'll work to learn the skills to succeed in life! This will be an adventurous year!

Hello, I am Cindy Hendrickson, a third-grade teacher, at Swanson Elementary.  I am excited to start my 27th year in education. I have taught Special Education, 5th grade, and 6th grade.   

My time outside of work is spent with my husband, son, daughter, and two dogs. My son is a student at Regis University and my daughter is in high school. They do grow up fast.  A little fact is both my children attended Swanson as students.  So it feels like home to me.  We enjoy spending time outside camping, fishing, going for walks, or simply watching the sunset.

My favorite part of teaching is watching students become readers.  Reading opens the door to so many other places and opportunities.   I look forward to getting to know your child and family.
