Hello! This is my 4th year teaching and 4th year at Swanson. I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver where I received my Bachelors of Arts in Special Education. Growing up I struggled a lot in school and received Special Education services throughout my time in school. Now, I want to help students like me learn, grow, and see the potential they have in themselves to be the best student they can be! I love sports and I also coach High School Baseball in Jeffco.

Special Education Social Worker
Hello! My name is Kristen Burback and I am the special education school social worker at Swanson! I can hardly believe this will be my 9th year in Jeffco. I love seeing our AMAZING Swanson Colts grow in their emotion regulation and social skills each year, and am excited for the work we will do together this year!
Some fun facts about me:
I love Disney and have participated in a half marathon at both Disney World and Disneyland.
I have a 3 year old pup named Ezra who is such a goofball, that we gave him the nickname "Dingbat". Some of your kiddos have enjoyed peeking in on him online while he's at doggy daycare.
One of my favorite pastimes is playing board and card games with friends and family (if you love board or card games, I'd love for you find me and share about your favorites).
Occupational Therapist
I have been an Occupational Therapist for 6 years and my passion is supporting kids in their development to independence! I have worked all around the country in hospitals, home health, early intervention and outpatient clinics. I serve children at Swanson, Weber, Thomson and Lawrence elementary schools. When I am not at schools, I spend as much time as possible outside camping, running, climbing, biking and snowboarding. I can't wait to get to know your little ones!

This is my 3rd year working for Jeffco, and I’m very excited to work at Swanson again. My husband, 2 children and I moved to Colorado from South Africa 7 years ago, and outside of work, I love exploring all the wonderful outdoor activities this area has to offer, puzzling and reading.

Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Hello, my name is Brittany Pache (pronounced like Posh). I am the SLPA who will be working with your students this year, along with my supervisor, Ms. Sarah McManus. This is my first year in Swanson, but my 11th in Jeffco. I will be here on Mondays and Tuesdays. I love helping students find their voice!
I love reading! Harry Potter is my absolute favorite! I enjoy camping with my husband, Adam, and exploring in our SXS.
