Coach Bennett

Hello! I am Coach Janelle Bennett and I have been coaching volleyball for 19 years! I have coached at many clubs in the area including: Westminster Juniors, Flatirons, and Ballistic. I coached at Jefferson Academy High School as a JV coach, Varsity assistant, and then Varsity coach before taking a break from high school volleyball to have my two children.  Currently, I am a 4th grade teacher at Woodrow Wilson Academy and am involved with the youth volleyball program at VC Denver at Sports Axis in Broomfield. 

My first volleyball experience was in The Swamp when I was a freshman, and have always dreamed of coming back here to coach. Boy am I happy to be back at SLHS! My Gator pride runs deep and I am so excited to coach this next generation of Gators!!

As a 3D coach, my transformational purpose statement is: "to inspire athletes to develop positive relationships and integrity through encouragement, dedication, skill, and love." I really try to push my athletes to be the best person they can be, on and off the court. You can read my entire philosophy here.
