About Me
Liz Vine
The 2021-2022 school year will be my 11th here at Coronado and I am so excited for it! I have a deep-rooted passion for helping kids grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. I believe in fostering a learning environment in which every child feels safe to take academic risks, work hard, and have fun. I typically incorporate a variety of learning modalities in my teaching, including visual, auditory, and hands-on opportunities. Of course, learning is more enjoyable and engaging when kids actually like being at school; therefore humor is one of my most valuable tools in teaching! I love to make the students laugh by making jokes and singing as I teach (not well, I might add). There is nothing more important than building a team of support for each child, so I look forward to working with all the staff, children, and parents to make sure each student's needs are met.

On my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, many of which you see pictured here. In April of 2021, my boyfriend and I welcomed our first child, our son, Cameron. Cameron is the absolute best and I want to spend ALL my time with him. My dogs (below) are like my kids and taking them to the dog park and wrestling with them at home are two of my well-loved past times. I also love being outdoors, especially if it involves sports! All my students learn quickly my passion for watching the Broncos and playing volleyball! On Friday recess, you will often find me outside playing football with the kids. I play sand and grass volleyball year-round, as it is the activity that I treasure the most. I love my fantasy books as well! I am a sucker for Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, and Divergent!
