I began skiing at the age of 3 and after years of lessons and incredible trips I stand today with an avid love of the sport. An essential piece of the sport are the breaks wherein you must drop your skis or snowboard somewhere. This is where racks come in and where I've chosen to begin my battle against beetle kill through the reclamation and reuse of nature effect.

Growing up in Colorado allows for many wonderful trip into the outdoors. However, even from a very young age, I learned that there are simply far too many trees that pine beetles infest. As I've grown up I've discovered even larger scale problems than the visual appearance of the affected trees.
