Teacher Bio

Greetings! I am so excited to be teaching at D'Evelyn this year! While it is my third year at this school, it is actually my twenty-eighth year of teaching. I grew up in Indiana, but I've lived and taught in three states (New Mexico, Washington, and Colorado) and five countries (United States, South Korea, Malaysia, Senegal, and Brazil). As that might tell you, I love to travel and experience cultures. 

Social Studies is my passion, but I also enjoy reading and baking when indoors and hiking, biking, and camping when outdoors. These days, you might find me hanging out with my husband (who is also a teacher) and my two dogs (Brownie and Mason) or catching up with friends and family around the world.

I look forward to working with and getting to know all of you this year!
