My name is Mary Hoff. I've been married to Steve for 27 years. I have a son who is a senior at Mesa College, and a daughter who recently got married and lives in Lakewood. I received my undergraduate degree from Regis College in 1991, my masters from Regis University in 1995, and an endorsement in assessment from UCD in 1998 and an ESL endorsement from Regis University in 2012. I have taught in Jeffco Schools for 28 years, teaching all grades Kindergarten through 6. I became a certified yoga instructor specifically geared towards mindfulness in the classroom and school communities in the summer of 2018. In the classroom you will find me firm but fair. I am organized and detail oriented. I expect a lot from my students, but even more from myself. I embrace the differences in all children and expect my students to do the same. I love to read, do yoga, scrapbook, hang out with my family and friends, and ride my road bike.

Hello! My name is Tua Laird. I have 3 children, 1 of whom is still attending Ryan, in 1st grade. My 2 older children are attending Mandalay Middle School in 6th and 8th grades. I myself, am a graduate of Jeffco Schools. I have been teaching at Ryan for 10 years and have been teaching in Jeffco for 18 years. I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature from Metro. I received my master's degree in Elementary Education from Regis University. I hold two Colorado Department of Education endorsements, one in Early Childhood Education and the other in Elementary education. I have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Last summer I became a certified yoga instructor specifically geared towards mindfulness in the classroom and school communities. In the classroom you will find me holding my students to the highest expectations, while teaching them that perseverance is the goal, not perfection. I enjoy yoga, reading, knitting and running.

Hello! My name is Madeline Bushell and this is my first year at Ryan Elementary. I graduated from UNC in May with my degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in math. I grew up in Arvada and am a Jeffco graduate. When I am not teaching, I love to read, crochet, watch the Colorado Rockies, play with my dog Charlie Barkmon, and spend time with my family and friends. I am also a dancer and dance teacher. In my classroom, I expect all my students to do their best, treat each other with kindness, and to have a growth mindset. I am so excited for an amazing year as a Ryan Hawk!
