Mrs. Effertz

I am a Colorado native and graduated from Jefferson County Public Schools. I graduated from Metropolitan State College with a major in Behavioral Science/Education and a minor in reading. I have my master's degree in Whole Learning from Regis University. I have been teaching for 24 years, 17 of them at Ryan Elementary.

I have many passions in my life. First and foremost is my family, followed by reading. In my spare time I can usually be found with a book in my hand.

I am excited for our upcoming school year! I love my job and believe strongly in the power of education. I have been with Ryan Elementary my whole career and am entering my 16th year of teaching. I enjoy seeing my students grow and become more confident each school year. My goal is to help your student reach their fullest potential. But I can only do that with your advocacy for your students. Please know I have an open door policy that I encourage all parents to feel welcome to come into my classroom any time they want. I check my e-mail frequently and that is the best way to get in touch with me. I am very excited to work with your students this year.

Mrs. Brown

I am very excited to be working with your students this year. I have been at Ryan elementary as a student teacher, long term substitute, and now a full time teacher. The fifth grade team is absolutely amazing, and I know your kids will have a fantastic year. My absolute favorite thing about teaching is helping students find subjects that interest them.

I love when parents are involved with our classroom, and therefor I will be posting updates on classDojo and google classroom. I constantly have access to my email, so reach out to me there at any time.

Here is to a good year!
