Hi, welcome to my class. My name is Ruth-Ann Geise. I am originally from New York but have lived in Colorado since 2001. I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from NYU and have been teaching since 1995. Throughout my years of teaching I have taught, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. I love teaching all grades. My daughter and I live in Lafayette where we love to swim and hike. One of my favorite things to do is run. You will often see me running with Mrs. Hill on our lunch break or after school.

I am so fortunate to be a 4th grade teacher at Ryan Elementary! This is my 14th year of teaching. I have also taught first, second and third grade, all of which have been here at Ryan as well! I love the community here. It is a pleasure to work with a wonderful staff, kids and families!

I am a proud product of Jefferson County Schools. I attended school in Golden, Colorado (Ralston Elementary, Bell Middle and Golden Senior High). I received both of my degrees from the University of Colorado at Denver. I earned a B.A. in International Affairs and an M.A. in Educational Psychology.

I am married to Greg and we have two daughters, Kyla Rae and Bryn Sue. I love traveling, reading, working out, shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Communication between school and home is vital for our partnership to work effectively. Please feel free to contact me either in person, by e-mail, note, or voice mail if you ever have any concerns.

I am so thrilled to be your child's fourth grade teacher!

Hi, welcome to my class! My name is Vanessa Rogers and this is my 18th year of teaching. I was born in Pennsylvania and have also lived in Texas and New Mexico.

I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Education from NMSU. After graduation, I moved to Colorado where my first 8 years were spent teaching 5th grade. I later earned my Master's degree from CU Boulder in Linguistically Diverse and Bilingual Education and in 2008 I was hired here at Ryan as the ESL teacher. I am currently working on my Gifted and Talented certification. I love teaching 4th grade here at Ryan!

My favorite things to do when not teaching are reading, playing board games, and taking my daughter to the park.
