Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! This is my 18th year teaching, all in 3rd and 4th grade. This will be my 14th year at Ryan! I grew up in Louisville,CO, and attended UNC where I played softball and got my degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Northern Colorado and completed my English as a Second Language Endorsement in 2010. My husband teaches Physical Education in the Boulder Valley School District. We have 4 kids. Grady is 9, Laine is 7, Ava is 5 and Anna is 2. Oliver, our golden retriever, really misses all the attention he used to get before we had so many kids. We are sports fans, love to play at parks, and like to spend time with our family.
This will be my first year teaching and I am so excited to be rejoining the Ryan community! Formerly, I was the School Age Enrichment Director for Ryan's before and after school program. I ran the SAE program for two and a half years and fell in love with my families, the staff, and the school. Returning to Ryan as a 3rd grade teacher is an absolute dream of mine. After obtaining a Bachelors degree, I was lucky enough to be able to go back to school and receive a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I have a wonderful little family consisting of my boyfriend, Steven, and a toy poodle named Charlie, they are my whole world. I love to do anything outdoors and love to read. I am over the moon about getting the opportunity to teach your children, and hope I can help them love learning as much as I do!
My teaching career has been born and raised Ryan Elementary style. I student taught with Colleen Welch 14 years ago and have taught first through fifth grade here at Ryan ever since. I am originally from Minnesota and lake life runs in my blood. I moved to Colorado years ago and went to both undergrad and graduate school at the University of Colorado. When I am not at Ryan, I am busy with my three kiddos Hank, Andie Kate and Charlie. We spend our days playing sports, travelling, eating at new yummy restaurants, hanging with our best pals and of course, taking naps ;)

I am so fortunate to be a third grade teacher at Ryan Elementary. I have taught 17 years, all of which have been here at Ryan. I love the community at Ryan and the wonderful staff that I work with. I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. I left Pueblo to continue my education at The University of Northern Colorado and finished my teaching licensure at Metro State College of Denver. After that, I went on to pursue my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from Regis University. My husband is a firefighter with the City of Westminster and my son Greyson is 4 years old. We enjoy watching and playing sports, spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places whenever we have the opportunity. I am so glad to be your child's teacher and hope that I can inspire them to be their best and teach them a love for learning!
