Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! This is my 23rd year teaching, all in 3rd and 4th grade. This will be my 19th year at Ryan! I grew up in Louisville, CO, and attended UNC where I played softball and got my degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Northern Colorado and completed my English as a Second Language Endorsement in 2010. My husband teaches Physical Education in the Boulder Valley School District. We have 4 kids. Grady is 14, Laine is 12, Ava is 10 and Anna is 7. We are sports fans and have season tickets to the CU Buffs football games, I drive the shuttle service for all the kids sports, football, baseball, softball, and golf, and when I have a spare second, I love to read! I am so excited for a wonderful school year!

I am so fortunate to be a third grade teacher at Ryan Elementary. I have taught 22 years, all of which have been here at Ryan. I love the community at Ryan and the wonderful staff that I work with. I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado.  I left Pueblo to continue my education at The University of Northern Colorado and finished my teaching licensure at Metro State College of Denver. After that, I went on to pursue my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology from Regis University. I enjoy watching and playing sports, spending time with family and friends and traveling to new places whenever we have the opportunity. I am so glad to be your child's teacher and hope that I can inspire them to be their best and teach them a love for learning!

This year will be my 7th year teaching at Ryan Elementary, and I am so excited to be returning to Third Grade! I love this grade so much and am grateful that I get to revisit and read some of my favorite Third Grade stories this year.

Formerly, I was the Director for Ryan's School Age Enrichment program. I ran the SAE program for about two and a half years and fell in love with the Ryan families, the staff, and the school. I wanted to be even more a part of the community so I enrolled in Graduate school to receive my Masters degree in Elementary Education.

I have a wonderful little family consisting of my husband, Steven, and our new puppy named Estes, they are my whole world. I love to do anything outdoors and I LOVE to read. I am over the moon about getting the opportunity to teach your children, and hope I can help them love learning as much as I do!
