I am so excited to begin my tenth year teaching Second grade at Ryan Elementary! We have such an outstanding staff and community and I’m so honored to be a part of it!
As a Colorado native, I have lived in many places along the Front Range. I attended Conifer High School and earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder. When I decided to go into education, I received my teaching license from Metropolitan State University of Denver. More recently, I received my ESL Endorsement from Regis University.
Currently, I live in Golden and enjoy riding my bike to fun restaurants with my amazing husband. Also, when I’m not in the classroom, I love doing yoga, being outside in our beautiful Colorado mountains, and spending time with my wonderful family.
Welcome to another great year at Ryan Elementary! This will be my ninth year teaching 2nd grade and I am thrilled to be working alongside such a wonderful team of educators. I started as a student at Ryan which makes me an original Hawk! I am so grateful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive community.
My path to become an educator started at the University of Colorado Denver where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I continued my passion for education by going back a second time to receive my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Aside from teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our energetic Lab Retriever, Bentley. Being a Colorado Native, I love experiencing what our beautiful state has to offer. I enjoy spending time outdoors, going fishing, and attending sports games.
I look forward to another great year in second grade!
While this will be my fourth year teaching at Ryan Elementary, it will be my first year teaching Second Grade! I am so excited for the change and get to read some of my favorite Second grade stories.
Formerly, I was the Director for Ryan's School Age Enrichment program. I ran the SAE program for two and a half years and fell in love with the Ryan families, the staff, and the school. I wanted to be even more a part of the community so I enrolled in Grad school to receive my Masters degree in Elementary Education, and the rest as they say is history!
I have a wonderful little family consisting of my boyfriend, Steven, and a toy poodle named Charlie, they are my whole world. I love to do anything outdoors and I love to read. I am over the moon about getting the opportunity to teach your children, and hope I can help them love learning as much as I do!
