Teaching is my passion and I couldn't think of a better profession! I am going on my 22nd year of teaching with experience in kindergarten, first, and second grade. I completed my master's degree in curriculum instruction and thrive on being a life long learner. I have taught in Jefferson County for 18 years and 4 years in the Boston area, where my children were born.

I have been married for 17 years to my husband, Scott. We have two children, Noah (12) and Addie (14).

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hiking, running, skiing, camping, and overall being with my family and being outdoors.

I believe that all children are capable of learning and have a right to learn in a safe, positive and nurturing environment. I feel that partnership with teacher/parent is crucial in order for each child's success in the his/her educational career.

I look forward to an amazing year teaching your child!

This is my 28th year of teaching, 27 of those years have been in 1st grade.

I have been teaching at Ryan Elementary for 24 years.

I absolutely LOVE 1st grade!

I grew up in Arvada and went to Jefferson County schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development with a concentration in Child Development. I also have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

My family includes my husband and 2 daughters. My oldest is a junior at CU Boulder and my youngest is starting her freshman year at CU Boulder.

My favorite things include mexican food, reading, paddleboarding, watching movies, and just hanging out with my family.

I am looking forward to an amazing year together!

I am so happy to be part of the Ryan family! This is my 7th year teaching and 3rd year at Ryan. My first year teaching, I taught literacy intervention for students K-6. This will be my 6th year teaching 1st grade.

I am originally from the Bay Area, California. I received my bachelor's degree and elementary teaching credential from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (the most beautiful, coastal town!), and I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education in Literacy. My husband, Matt, and I moved from California to Colorado three years ago, and we are so happy to be in this gorgeous state.

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants, attending workout classes, reading, walking my silver lab, Luna, and doing yard work in my little family's new house. My husband and I also love escaping to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding.

Ryan's community is like no other, and I am so happy to be part of it with you!
