Hi, My name is Kacey Czarnek . This is my twentieth year of teaching at Powderhorn. I taught second grade for two years and this is my eighteenth year in kindergarten. I am a product of Jeffco Schools, GO EAGLES!!!! I attended The University of Northern Colorado for my undergrad and obtained a Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I am also ESL Endoursed. I am married to a wonderful man named Scott. We have two kids. Brooke is twelve and is in 7th grade. Cole is nine and is 4th grade here at Powderhorn. I have a naughty Goldendoodle named Cooper and a class bunny named Coco. I love teaching kindergarten, it is my passion. I look forward to an amazing school year! I can't wait to be your child's teacher. 

My name is Maia Palmer, I have taught in Jefferson County for twelve years.  I was a preschool teacher for 3 years, first grade teacher for 3 years and have taught kindergarten for 6 years!  I am married with two children and live in the area.  My daughter will be a sophomore at Dakota Ridge High School and my son in 7th grade at Summit Ridge Middle School! My family enjoys traveling, sports and spending time outdoors.

I have my Master’s Degree in Elementary education. I love teaching and am so excited for our school year ahead!  I know that your child is your “world” and a very important part of your life and for that reason, I appreciate your confidence and trust in me as their teacher throughout the year. 

Hello, I'm Mr. Joshua! I relish the opportunity to blend my passion for learning and reading into my role as a teacher, a recipe that has worked really well for me since becoming a first generation student at Missouri State University. The outdoors, music, and travel are key ingredients in my life, and I mix these elements into my teaching (with a sprinkle of soccer for an extra kick of flavor). With about eight years of experience in the classroom, I'm eager to cook up another great year of kindergarten with our crew at Powderhorn!
