This is my 25th year teaching in Jefferson County, and my 17th at Powderhorn.  I am excited to be a part of the fabulous 2nd grade team.  I have a passion for early readers and writers and am excited to watch our community of learners grow!

​My husband Mario and I are homeowners in the Powderhorn community.  Our children are students at Chatfield High School.   In addition to our wonderful children, our home is blessed with two Golden Retrievers named Lucy and Dori.  

This is my 13th year teaching and my first year at Powderhorn! I have lived and taught grades K-3 in Colorado for the past 11 years at both public and private schools. I'm very excited to be back in second grade. I am passionate about early literacy and I especially love to teach writing!

My husband, Drew, and I live in the neighborhood with our two kids. Emerson is 3 and Oliver is 1, so they keep us busy! When we're not at school, we love to be outside together. We like to go hiking, biking, skiing and camping. The access to the outdoors is what brought us to Colorado! I'm excited to get to know and join the Powderhorn community!

Colorado Native. I grew up in Lakewood and am a graduate of Jeffco Schools. Most recently I taught at Bear Creek K8 and Westgate Elementary as a Long-Term Substitute. Prior to that I had been teaching in Cherry Creek Schools primarily doing Special Educatoin.  I am excited for my new role here at Powderhorn as 2nd Grade Teacher. I am passionate about building relationships with students and having them see their potential within themselves.

In my free time you can find me hiking, biking, running, traveling and cooking. I am also a newly wed and my wife Kamelle and I were married over the summer. I look forward to being part of the Powderhorn Community for this 2024-2025 school year!
