**ATTENDANCE: Students MUST attend the Zoom Class Meetings by logging into Schoology and/or MUST be physically in class during their scheduled class times to be marked PRESENT unless noted otherwise. **

Capstone Panel Presentations
Congratulations, students have completed their Capstone projects! Students will be presenting their projects on May 4, 2021, between 2-5 pm. Please see the following details regarding students' presentations below:
Parent/guardians' presence is encouraged to support their child as he/she showcases the work he/she has done this year with their passion project that demonstrates their college and career readiness. Please contact Ms. Pasion if you are planning to attend the virtual presentation at cpasion@jeffco.k12.co.us
UPDATED Attendance Policy
Starts Semester 2 as of 12-18-20
REMOTE DAYS/Remote Students - Students are REQUIRED to attend their classes on Zoom Monday through Thursday during their scheduled class times. Students who show up to the Zoom class will be counted present. If they do not attend your Zoom, they should be marked absent.
HYBRID/In Person Days- Students are REQUIRED to be physically in class during their scheduled class times to be marked as PRESENT in Infinite Campus, unless parent calls in for an excused absence. If student is not present, student is still able to access assignments online.
FRIDAYS (Asynchronous Learning) - Students do not need to attend Zoom classes on Friday. Students are REQUIRED to complete an “Attendance Check-In” that is posted in Schoology/Google Classroom. The "Attendance Check-In" NEEDS to be completed before 3:00 pm for each class period.
NOTE: Students that are quarantined are REQUIRED to do remote learning and follow the attendance policy to be marked PRESENT.

About Me
Aloha! I moved to Colorado in 2009 from Hawaii. I have been a teacher since 2006. I began teaching in Jeffco in 2011 and been teaching English/Language Arts at Jefferson Jr/Sr High School since 2014.
As the English teacher at Jefferson, I strive to promote a love of reading and writing by engaging young people in collaborative projects and social impact.
I have focused on Problem-Based Learning ; empowering students with strategies and tools to become productive members of a solution-based community.
When I am not at school supporting students, I love to spend time with my daughter, Alana. I enjoy visiting with my family and friends especially when I go to Hawaii and Seattle or go on road trips to experience new places. I love to traveling, bake desserts, soak up the sun at the beach, and write.
