About Mrs. Miller

I'm happy to meet you! Let's get singing!

Born in CA, I really fell in love with music and music making in middle school in AZ! I ended up at Colorado State University, where I got my Bachelor's degree in Music Education (and where I was in the marching band!). I also earned my Master's degree from CSU - Master of Music Education with an emphasis in the Kodàly method.

Out of university, I taught for five years at Fremont Elementary before my husband and I moved overseas to teach music at international schools, first Shanghai, then Tokyo. We've returned to be close to our families again, and I'm thrilled to be entering in my third year with the Oberon family.

I'm into baking, coffee, my dog Oscar, gardening, hiking, and generally going on adventures. I play currently play in the Sentimental Sounds, a jazz band mostly made up of retired music teachers. Previously, I was in the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, the Shanghai International Choral League, and the Shanghai City Swing Band.
