Welcome to Coronado's Choir The Exploratones!

My name is Ms. Baker and I am the music teacher and choir director here at Coronado Elementary.  Choir is my heart and my soul, so when I started teaching at Coronado in 2016 I couldn't wait to start building this wonderful group of singers.  Since we started this choir, we have accomplished so much together!

The biggest tradition that we enjoy every year is our role in the Chatfield Choir Festival in November.  This choir concert includes choir groups from the local elementary schools (Shaffer, Ute Meadows, Mortenson, Stony Creek and Bradford), the local middle schools (Deer Creek and Falcon Bluffs) and the top choirs from Chatfield Senior High School. We usually have a theme that encompasses mass choir pieces and also pieces that feature each of the choral levels in the performance as well.

We also have the honor every year of singing the National Anthem on Coors Field during a Rockies game, which is an absolutely incredible experience!

The Exploratones Choir is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders at Coronado and we meet on Tuesdays after school in the music room.
