I grew up outside of Philadelphia where I enjoyed the good ol' days of running around outside, playing flashlight tag, and climbing trees all day. As a child, I always had a love of art and went on to earn an Art Education degree with a concentration in ceramics from University of Massachusetts Amherst. I started teaching in 1998 and joined the Jeffco community as an art teacher at Bear Creek High School in 2006. Years later, I completed a Master's Degree in Art and Design at University of Northern Colorado. Throughout my career, I enjoyed working with youth of all ages, even infants. There's nothing like watching a baby explore paint or clay (edible, of course) for the first time! However, high school is my favorite age to work with because the students are deep thinkers, have a desire for independence, and are figuring out their paths. I love helping them consider the possibilities their future holds and encouraging them find what makes them happy.

In my free time, I regularly travel east to see family in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and Massachusetts. I enjoy weekend hikes, Colorado road trips, and working in my garden. Vintage treasures, Colorado mountains, beautiful beaches, and kind people bring me joy. I cherish my friends and family, and am very thankful for my husband's patience and humor, as my loud voice and fascination with true crime podcasts/shows can be a bit much.

I always love visiting Glenwood Springs.

Cosanti is a unique place in Arizona. Is an architectural phenomenon where ceramic and bronze wind bells are made. I love it!
