Google Classroom

Google Classroom will be the home for almost all student communication and posted assignments. Sometimes students will be able to complete the assignment within Google Classroom, but there will also be organized links to assignments that need to be completed on another site (Khan Academy, Imagine Learning, Flipgrid, etc.)

To access Classroom, go to https://classroom.google.com.  Click on the "+" icon in the top right corner and select "Join."  Then enter the class code:

Imagine Learning Classroom

Imagine Learning is where students will take online assessments at the beginning and end of each unit and also some practice problems throughout units.

The PRE-assessments "Readiness Checks" are designed to collect data on prerequisite skills that students will need to be successful for the upcoming unit. The scores from these will not affect a student's grade, but it will be graded on completion. This is important for me to address individual gaps that may affect their performance in the next unit.

For POST-unit assessments (Tests), students will do their work for the problems on paper (and turn it in), but record their answers online.

IXL

IXL is a program that provides students with individually targeted lessons and practice in both Math and Language Arts.

Students will receive login information in the first weeks of school.
