Who's Mrs. Hughes?
I am very happy to have joined the staff this year at West Jeff Middle School.
I have enjoyed working as an elementary school learning specialist and I am excited to be working with this middle school age group. I obtained my degree in Special Education from Brigham Young University.
I was born and raised in lovely Arlington, Virginia-- it's still very much home to me. My husband Daniel and I have been married for 29 years. I am a proud mother of 6 pretty great kids--4 of whom have attended WJMS. Our family has lived in Virginia, Utah, Texas, Brazil and here in our Colorado home for nearly 20 years.
I love spending time outdoors hiking trails in the Conifer area as well as taking longer hikes--so far I've been lucky enough to have summited fourteen 14ers here in Colorado. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking new and old recipes and traveling whenever I have the opportunity.
