I have been the art teacher here at Lumberg Elementary for the last 18 years. I studied fine art at Colorado State University with a concentration in painting and another one in drawing. I also studied Spanish as my minor, which I use daily in instruction. I earned my teaching credentials through Metro State University, and I continue to study art at the Art Student's League of Denver.
In my free time I love to garden and paint in my garden. I grow food for my family and flowers for my eyes.
As an art teacher, I strive to be a good "gardener" for all children. I carefully select the lessons that will help them grow. I nuture their learning. I encourage them. I protect them. When I see learning "flower" and produce "fruit" in any student, my heart feels alive, my soul is fed.
