About Me

My Mission: To inspire others to reach their full potential

This is my 19th year of teaching in Jeffco and 6th year at Falcon Bluffs.  Some of my favorite things to do are to read a great book on my back patio, play games with my family, take a walk with my dogs, or to watch something funny on the TV.  My husband, Doug and I have 2 children, Sarah and Jeremy.  Sarah is a substitute teacher for Jeffco while working on her dancing career.  Jeremy is a behavioral therapist for children with autism.  We have 3 dogs (Tia, Tinkerbell, & Franco), 1 tortoise (Freddy), and 1 cat (Milly).  I have lived in PA, OH, FL, TN, and CO but have traveled to almost all 50 states.  I would love some day to live on a beach in SC where I can walk each day to collect shells and see the sunrise over the ocean.

My favorite subject to teach is SS.  I enjoy learning about history and sharing my learning with others.  I am also a visual learner.  Therefore, I think it is very important to see and experience what we learn.  I plan tours for students that connect to our SS learning.  I hope that you will join me on one of the tours this year.  We are traveling to Peru (over spring break) and Washington, DC, Philadelphia, & NY (at the end of the school year).  See the Travel Opportunities tab for more information!
