These are great deeper level thinking questions for GT learners. They help to take kids from literal understanding of texts to thinking about things more abstractly. Kids must have a literal understanding, apply this understanding to a connection in the real world and then explain the connection. These are good questions to ask your child as you read together, or they can write short paragraph responses.
