Pen
Whiteboard
Dry erase Marker
Dry erase marker (old sock?)
Grading - Grades are computed with the following breakdown:
Class Work - 20%
Homework - 20%
Quizzes - 30%
Assessments - 30%
M - Missing. This means an assignment was not handed in and no credit was earned.
X - Exempt. This means that the student was exempt from an assignment and did not need to complete it for credit
Late Work - If an assignment is not completed on time:
Turn in work up to 2 days late for a partial grade of 80% of total score.
Turn in work more than 2 days late and up to the end of unit deadline for a partial grade of 50% of total score.
Any work not turned in by the end of unit deadline will be recorded as Missing in the grade book and the score will be calculated as an M.
A paper turned in with no name will be considered turned in late.
If a Big Ideas Online assignment is submitted late, you must take a screen shot of your score and email the screen shot to Mr. Rodriguez. The date on the email will be the date used to determine late assignment score. Be sure to be very specific in the email about what assignment the screen shot is for.
Absences - If you are absent, you need to check google sites and Big Ideas to find out what material you missed in class and any homework assignments that were assigned. Students are responsible for finding missed assignments. You have two days for each day absent to turn work in for full credit.
Test and Quiz Corrections- Following all tests and quizzes, students will complete a test/quiz error analysis form. All students will turn in this form as a homework grade. Students that score lower than 80% can earn up to an 80% on the quiz or test. Students that score 100% on their quiz or test will be exempt from this assignment.
Homework - Students can expect to have 2 to 4 homework assignments every week. Assignments will typically be assigned and found within BIG IDEAS online. Homework will always be due at the beginning of the next class meeting.
