Mitchell SEL Info/Tools/Resources for Families

Welcome Mitchell Mustang Parents!

Your Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health Team are so happy to welcome you all to the start of the 20-21 school year. We are excited to bring on our new School Social Worker; Aimee Leifer, and know she will be bringing great expertise and enthusiasm to our team. Like last Spring, we would like you to be able to use this site as a place to access resources in order to support your student's social and emotional development at home, whether they are engaged in a remote-learning model, or attending school in person.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, please dial 911, the Colorado Crisis Hotline 1-844-493-8255, or National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

Please visit the Jeffco COVID Mental Health page for information related to supporting mental health at home, including social emotional learning activities. For more information on our Covid 19 response, please visit our site here:

We look forward to working with you this school year.

Implementing SEL

A systemic approach to SEL intentionally cultivates a caring, participatory, and equitable learning environment and evidence-based practices that actively involve all students in their social, emotional, and academic growth. This approach infuses social and emotional learning into every part of students’ daily lives—across all of their classrooms, during all times of the school day, and when they are in their homes and communities.
