I graduated from Arvada West High school and spent 5 years in the United States Navy. That experience brought me around the world and landed me back in Colorado. I spent 9 years working at a pediatric clinic as a medical assistant while going to college at Metropolitan State University of Denver. There I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, a minor in art education and an emphasis in ceramics. I finished my Master's in Fine Arts in October 2021 at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design.
With my free time, I enjoy road trips with my daughter, camping trips with friends and family and refinishing vintage furniture.
From 2015-2016 I taught visual arts at Alameda International MS/HS, there I realized my heart belongs in elementary. I have been at Mount Carbon and Green Gables Elementary since 2017 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching our astonishingly creative students. I look forward to many years to come!
