Meet the Counselors
Hello! I am Ms. McNeil and I will be the school counselor for 6th grade students. I am so excited to be joining the counseling team and staff at Mandalay Middle School. This will be my first year at Mandalay and my 14th year as a school counselor. I look forward to getting to know the 6th grade students and supporting them during their middle school journey. Outside of work I enjoy reading, yoga, playing tennis and spending time with my family watching sports.
Born and raised in the Midwest, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology. After working as a research scientist for three years, I decided to obtain my teaching license in secondary science. I worked for about a decade as a middle and high school science teacher (mostly in Jeffco) before transitioning into counseling. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, trail running, skiing, and just simply being outdoors. I truly love supporting students throughout the middle school years, celebrating successes and problem-solving challenges!
Hello, I am Ron Ehnes (Mr. E) and I will be the counselor for all 8th grade students. This is my 11th year as a counselor and 6th here at Mandalay. I am excited to support our students and they navigate middle school and prepare for high school. Feel free to contact me via the email or phone listed above.
