Bienvenidos a la clase de la maestra Stiegemeier

Hi! My name is Johanna (Joana) Stiegelmeier. I have been a World Language teacher for 13 years . I have taught in Costa Rican High Schools for 8 years. Also, I have the experience working with refugees at Emily Griffith Opportunity Schools in Denver

And I have  been in Jeffco Public Schools since 2018.

This is my first year at Evergreen High School and I will be  teaching Spanish 3 and 4.

My first degree is in Modern Language Arts from University of Costa Rica, my second degree is  in Education from UNED Costa Rica and next summer break I will be concluding my third degree in Spanish and Culture from Salamanca University in Spain.

Besides my education, I also have participated in the Beyond Borders international service and cultural exchange program at FSU and attended the VII International Congress for Spanish Teachers in León and Castilla, Spain.

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, hiking, camping, rafting, skiing and traveling.
