“Wildfire”s by National Geographic explains how wildfires can help our forests but can also destroy them. So it basically explains the pros and cons of wildfires. For instance, did you know that wildfires can help our forests and grow new plants and wildlife? The wildfires can also kill old shrubs and dead trees. Wildfires can kill bugs that literally take out the good stuff in trees and rot them. Also, did you know that the smoke from the wildfires can kill about 339,000 people every year? Wildfires sometimes create a layer of unmoving air, called inversion. Inversion is right at a human’s body level. When inversion enters a person's body it can affect your breathing. That is why 339,000 people die a year. In conclusion, wildfires by National Geographic explains the pros and cons of wildfires.
