Lisa Beckfield - 1st Grade

Dear First Grade Families,

I am excited to learn and grow with your child in First Grade this year at Elk Creek Elementary School. I am looking forward to working with you to support your child as he/she learns and grows in First Grade. My hope is that your child will return home each day happy and eager to go back to school. I look forward to working as a team and believe that by working together your child's First Grade year will be a joyful experience for all involved.

Just a little bit about myself… My husband and I moved, from Wisconsin, to the Bailey area 25+ years ago. My teaching degree is from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. I am currently licensed to teach in both Wisconsin and Colorado. I taught Kindergarten full time at Deer Creek Elementary School for five years. I was then fortunate enough to be able to stay at home for five years with my children. I have a son and a daughter. 20+ years ago, as they took flight in their own school careers, I was excited to return to work, this time at Elk Creek. I have found Elk Creek to be a very supportive and friendly school and am thrilled to be back for yet another year.

Note the information about weekly folders as I hope that your child’s folder will be a main line of communication between home and school.
