Fourth Grade
Karlyn Carpenter
I have had the pleasure of teaching here at Lasley for 17 years! Teaching 4th grade is my sweet spot. Teaching and working with this community is very rewarding. A positive learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between parent, child and teacher. I hope that we all can work together to make it a year of growth, discovery, and significance for your child. My expectations for behavior, and standards for academic growth are high. I have a B.S. in political science from UCSD, a B.A. in elementary education from CCU, and a M.A. in linguistically diverse education from UCD.
In addition to teaching, I like to garden, travel, hike, and spend time with friends and family. I have three daughters and five grandchildren!
Meghan Ring
My name is Meghan Ring and I am a 4th grade teacher here at Lasley Elementary School. This is my sixth year at Lasley, but I have been teaching for 13 years. I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade; 3rd and 4th are my favorite! I am a Colorado native and grew up right here in Lakewood. I attended Patterson, O'Connell, and Alameda. I earned my degree from Metropolitan State University and am currently working towards a master's degree at Regis University.
In my free time, my son Caden and I love fishing, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends. We also love to go to Avalanche, Rockies and Bronco Games! I love being here at Lasley and enjoy working with the amazing students and parents in this community.
