Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!

I'm so exctied to welcome my 28th group of students to a new school year! I've been at Elk Creek for 20 years and it is truly THE BEST!

I grew up in Indiana, came to Colorado in 1994 and never looked back. My husband Mark and I have two amazing kids, Nate (22) Anna (19) and a sweet, mischevious dog named Earl! Earl! even has his own hashtag: #bestworstdog. :) We also have a beautiful cat Named Maggie #maggiethecat. My son is finishing up a degree at CU Denver in Special Education. My daughter is banker and working on a degree in Social Work at CCD. Both of my children are ELK CREEK EAGLES! My husband works for the Postal Service in Golden. We love to hike, camp, go to music festivals, play music together, and be on the water. In the near future Mark and I plan to buy a live aboard sailboat and travel the world. But first there's some teaching to be done....

Fourth grade is such an incredible year! We will explore CO History, fun science units, amazing book studies, and, lots of math projects and expand our writing. Fourth graders enjoy many privileges and independence as you are now a resident of "downstairs". This is sure to be the best year yet!
