Mitchell Library

I am thrilled to be the Digital Teacher Librarian at Mitchell.  I've been a teacher librarian for 12 years and am excited to start my 7th year at Mitchell Elementary.  I enjoy sharing my love of books with students and creating a rich reading culture at Mitchell.  I believe the library is a place for imagination, inspiration, and innovation.  I received my BA degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa and my MA degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Denver.   

I've lived in Nebraska, Iowa, Barcelona, Spain and Colorado.  My interests include hiking, road biking, baking, reading, and spending time with my husband and two kids.  A fun fact about me is that I'm a Jazzercise instructor, and one of my greatest accomplishments is hiking the Grand Canyon from rim to rim in one day.
