Kristen burback - Special EDucation Social Worker
Hello Swanson Colts! My name is Kristen Burback and I am the special education school social worker at Swanson! This will be my 8th year in Jeffco as a school social worker. I'm really enjoying seeing Colts grow in their emotion regulation and social skills this year! It is always so rewarding to see students using strategies that allow them to do their best learning and growing in their interpersonal skills.
Some fun/random facts about me:
I love Disney and have participated in a half marathon at both Disney World and Disneyland.
I have a 2 year old pup named Ezra who is such a goofball, that we gave him the nickname "Dingbat". He's always making me laugh.
One of my favorite pastimes is playing board and card games with friends and family (if you love board or card games, I'd love for you to let me know what your favorite is).
CINDEE BALL - Social Emotional Learning Specialist
HI! I'm Ms. Cindee and I'm so excited to join the Colt team as a Social Emotional Learning Specialist. I have 19 years prior experience within Jeffco in mental health and as an educator. One of the greatest needs I saw and my favorite to teach was giving students skills socially and emotionally to, enhance their learning experience. I hold degrees in applied psychology and clinical mental health, and am a nationally certified counselor. I look forward to working with Swanson's student population. In my free time, I love to spend time hiking or paddle boarding with my sixteen year old grandson.

JESSICA REEVES- School Counselor
Hello everyone! My name is Jessica Reeves and I am excited to join the Swanson Community as the School Counselor this year. I received my Masters in Community Counseling from the University of Denver in 2009 and spent several years as a school counselor in St. Vrain. The last two years I was at Thomson, albeit in a different role. I am very happy to be a Colt and I am looking forward to getting to know all of the students and families. My favorite part of being a school counselor is watching kids gain skills and grow as scholars and human beings. In my down time, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, reading, watching hockey and spending time with my family.

Shea Gorman - jefferson center for mental health clinician
Hello families! Welcome to Swanson! My name is Shea and I will be the Jefferson Center for Mental Health Clinician at Swanson this school year. This is my 2nd year working with JCMH and JeffCo Public Schools - last year I was at Thomson Elementary School just up the street. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and 5 years of experience working in both Community Mental Health and Adventure/Wilderness Therapy settings with Youth and Families. I love to spend time outdoors, especially hiking, rock climbing, and swimming. If there's ever an opportunity to spend time outside during sessions with students and families, I love to utilize the healing power of the natural world to enhance our therapeutic work together! I am so excited to meet all of you and I'm hopeful for a transformative year ahead!
