Head Coach Justin Baum - Distance / Mid-distance
Coach Baum is entering his first year as the co-head track and field coach for Green Mountain High School. Prior to Green Mountain High School, Coach Baum served as an assistant coach at Pinnacle Charter School where he was part of the inaugural track season. Prior to Pinnacle, he served as the assistant track coach at Glenwood Springs High School in charge of the distance teams. As an assistant at Glenwood, Coach Baum coached multiple state placers at the 4A state track and field championships including a 3rd place in the girls 4x800, 4th place in the girls 3200, and a 9th place finish in the boys 3200. He also has several years experience as a middle school head track coach with experience across all disciplines. Coach Baum also serves as the head cross country coach for Green Mountain High School. Coach Baum still competes in local races and competed in college at Malone College under 2012 Olympic Coach Jack Hazen and was an NAIA All American in the 10,000 meters in 2007. Assistant Head Coach Kaiya Firor - Sprints and Hurdles
Coach Kaiya is entering her first season as the sprints and hurdles coach for the Rams. Coach Kaiya is a recent graduate of Western State University where she was a multi time NCAA All American in the distance medley relay, 4 x 400 meter relay, and the 400 meter hurdles. She is a graduate of Hotchkiss High School where she was a multiple state champion. Coach Kaiya still holds state records in the 2A 400 meters and 300 meter hurdles.
