I was born and raised in Arvada, CO. I started playing the saxophone when I was in 4th grade and have enjoyed learning new instruments ever since! I received both my bachelor's degree in music education and my master's degree in music education with an emphasis on conducting from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. This is my fifth year teaching at Wayne Carle MS and my thirteenth year teaching overall. I love this community! I live in the Lake Arbor area with my wife Ashlie (whom I met in HS marching band) and two daughters.
I am really enthusiastic about a lot of things. Obviously, I'm in love with music because that is what I teach and it is a large part of my life. I also love everything Japanese. I have been learning the language for about 15 years, so please feel free to help me practice if you happen to speak Japanese as well. I also like arthropods, especially insects and arachnids. I love getting pictures of cool bugs that people found in their garden. I also love writing music and playing golf.
This is one of many selfies that Ashlie and I took in front of weird things in Tokyo.
