This website was created by Muhammad Nuliadi (LHS '24, Yale '28) with the help of multiple friends, admissions officers, teachers, and administrators. As a low-income second-generation student, I struggled through the college application process. I wanted to share advice, experiences, resources, and other helpful information with future students who want to apply to prestigious and selective colleges. My friends and I have experienced firsthand how difficult, confusing, and often frustrating some aspects of the whole process are, and we want to ensure that students in the future may have it easier than we do. Well, I hope you enjoy snooping through this website!
If you're currently going through the process, or are about to embark on your journey, I wish you the best of luck! (I'd suggest bookmarking this page for easy access!)
A special thanks to Mrs. Schultz (IB coordinator), Mr. Martin (IB TOK teacher), Mr. LaPlant (Counselor), Ms. Shackett (Economy teacher and CAS Coordinator), and Ms. Bell (Librarian), all of whom were integral in the creation of this whole project!
This whole project was mainly created by me, so please take everything with a grain of salt! Firstly, please don't treat this website as a set-in-stone guide to the whole college application process, this is merely stuff that helped me when I was applying, and materials I thought were helpful, however, they may not be for everyone. Secondly, I mainly applied to liberal arts universities (some research universities) on the East Coast, however, I did not go through the University of California application process, which is quite different, so keep that in mind. Thirdly, please double-check the sources posted on this website, as I do make mistakes and can easily post something misleading by accident. Finally, I do not claim any credit for any of the work done by other amazing people and organizations, and I have attempted to cite all of them correctly, but if I didn't please forgive me and I will fix it! (Citation page should include everything that is not directly linked)
