About Mrs. Mac

Once a Jag, always a Jag...

D'Evelyn graduation with my grandfather

I believe in the D'Evelyn Difference because D'Evelyn was the difference for me.  After graduating from D'Evelyn in 2012, I attended Regis University on a full tuition mathematics scholarship.  I graduated summa cum laude in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and a minor in secondary education.  This is my fourth year teaching at D'Evelyn.

I am a part of the best department at D'Evelyn!  Go math!

If I had to only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be breakfast burritos.

I played soccer growing up and if I didn't add, subtract, multiply, and divide the jersey numbers of the opposing team while I played, I would play terribly.  I'm a math nerd!

When I ran track, I would count my steps as a ran. I still run, but I have stopped counting my steps... it was easier to count when I was only sprinting!

Why did I return to D'Evelyn?

I came back to teach at D'Evelyn because I have experienced the benefits of the D'Evelyn curriculum.  It is my goal to see all students become logical problem solvers, which our Saxon mathematics program supports.  By providing students the opportunity to review concepts daily, students are able to better retain their knowledge and apply it quickly and effectively.  This is a unique program that requires dedication, but the payoff is immeasurable, extending far beyond the discipline of mathematics.

In addition to the core values and curriculum, I was also eager to return to such an incredible staff.  The dedicated, caring teachers and leaders made a difference in how I viewed school, how I experienced learning, and ultimately how I live my life.  It is my pleasure to work alongside such a committed group of individuals.
