Tryouts for 2023 Season

Tryout Information:

Tryouts will be for any incoming 9th  - 12th grader.

Tryouts will be at Indian Tree Country Club - The first Monday (4-31) and Tuesday (5-1) of August.

Tryouts we will play 18 holes on Monday and another 9 on Tuesday.   Please bring eight dollars both days for greens fees. 

All golfers must possess their own clubs to tryout with.  The school does not issue clubs.

There were cuts last year and it is expected that there will be cuts this year.  Practice Practice Practice!

How it is determined that you make the team?

Due to the restrictions on the space courses have, the D'Evelyn golf team will be  made up of 12 members.  There are two categories of students who will try out for the team:  Freshmen and Sophomores(essentialy JV), and Juniors and Seniors.  

If a freshmen scores close to one of the upper classmen, thy will make the team over the upper classmen if the upper classroom is not slated to play in many varsity tournaments.  The program must grow and taking younger golfers is essential for the sustainability of the program.
