Teaching is an absolute passion of mine!  I am so excited to begin working with you and your child this school year!  It's going to be a year full of learning and of course lots of adventures and I can't wait to see what this school year has in store for us.  I thought you might like to know a little about me...

I am married to my wonderful husband Terry and we have two amazing boys.  Our boys attended Elk Creek, West Jefferson Middle School and graduated from Conifer High School!  Tanner, our oldest, graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Health Science & Biology and later graduated from Medical Sales College in 2021. He is currently living and working in Tampa Florida.  Mitchell graduated from Midland University in May 2023 with a degree in Nursing.  Mitch works as an ICU nurse at Sky Ridge Hospital.  He plans to work and gain experience in critical care and continue his schooling to become a certified nursing anesthetist.

I have lived in this beautiful mountain community since I was 10 and graduated from Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colorado.  I attended Fort Lewis College in Durango where I received my teaching degree and continued my education a few years later to complete my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University.

I have been teaching Kindergarten at Elk Creek for 30+ years and have loved every second of it!  I really can't imagine doing anything else!
