Artists of the Month

We want to honor and celebrate the incredible talent and creativity of our school's outstanding artists. Each month, we shine a spotlight on students whose artistic prowess and dedication to their craft have truly stood out. These students have been chosen because their work reflects not only their technical skill but also their unique perspectives and imaginative visions.

Join us in applauding these young artists for their unwavering commitment to their art and their ability to express themselves in profound and innovative ways.

Mixed Media Cyanotype

Cyanotype made with a digital negative

Caitie Watkins- 11

Catie knocked it out of the park with her cyanotypes. This historical photographic process uses iron salts and the sun to create photographic exposures and was commonly used as a way to document nature and also create replicas of technical drawings in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this is where the name "blueprint" came from!

Catie's mixed media cyanotype features black and white hand-drawn butterflies and is simply stunning!
