I am extremely excited to be teaching Art again this year! I also feel very fortunate to be a member of the amazing Falcon Bluffs community. We're going to have a great year!
Here is a little bit of information about me: I grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Art. I then spent several years working in the architectural and interior design fields as a designer and project manager. After volunteering in my daughter's Art classroom, in 2004, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I have been at Falcon Bluffs ever since, and love it! I have worn a few different hats over the past 15 years at FBMS, including Para-educator (while obtaining my teaching license), Intervention Teacher, and Language Arts teacher. Change is good and keeps life interesting; so, when the Art Teacher position opened up, I jumped at the chance to combine my passions of creating art and teaching middle school students.
Although I am a native of Colorado, I have lived in many places including Florida, New Brunswick, Canada, California, and Virginia. I have two wonderful children, both graduates of Chatfield Senior High. My son, Will, graduated from CSU and is currently working on his MBA at DU. My daughter, Jessica, lives in Eugene, Oregon and enjoys living so close to the coast. Steve, my husband, is retired from the U.S. Forest Service and loves to spend his time fly fishing, gardening, and cooking gourmet meals. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hiking, gardening, painting, making pottery, reading, and visiting my children whenever I can.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. The best way to get in touch with me is through my email listed on the Falcon Bluffs website. I will email or call you back as soon as possible. Thank you for visiting my website!
