About Me

Hello Chargers! I'm Ms. Chavez, but most people call me Cha. I am a Chatfield grad and feel so lucky to be able to teach alongside those who inspired me to be a teacher. I first fell in love with history in 5th grade and history was always my favorite class in high school. I continued to learn about history (and how to teach it) at Carthage College in Wisconsin. After graduation, I moved back to Colorado to start my teaching career.

When I'm not teaching, I'm probably doing hanging out with my dog, doing yoga, drinking coffee (which I also do while teaching), listening to true crime podcasts, planning my next trip, or laughing until my face hurts with friends.

I am so lucky to have you in my class and I look forward to our year together. Now it's more important than ever to be change makers, world shakers, and kindness spreaders!
