Attendance

What does attendance look like?

Teachers will be providing educational opportunities to students daily. Each time a student engages with the opportunities they will be marked as present for the day. As time continues we may update the requirements of attendance so please watch for updates from your classroom teacher and on this web page.

Attendance will be taken this week: March 17th - March 20th.

Students are not required to participate in daily learning activities and attendance will not be taken during the week of spring break: March 23rd - March 27th.

Starting March 30th we will go back to remote learning until at least the 17th of April. Classroom teachers will engage with students Tuesday through Friday with a plan day on Monday each week.

Expectations for engagement

Must Do's

Students will be presented with a 3 different must do lessons each day (Tuesday-Friday). These lessons should take no more than 20 minutes. If they are taking longer please contact your child's classroom teacher. The lesson each day will consist of one reading, one math and one AMP (art, music, physical education) lesson. The AMP lesson will be from the teacher that is assigned to that classroom for the week. We ask that you try as a family to have you child engage in these 3 lessons daily. These lessons will be based on learning standards for that grade level.

Can do's

The classroom teacher will also be providing can do activities. These are activities that your child can do if you would like them to have more time in engaging in learning.

Students on Plans

If your child is on an IEP or a READ Plan we will be getting in touch with you regarding other lessons and learning opportunities we will be providing for your child. If your child is on an ALP we are working through what that looks like to make sure they meet their goals.
