Are you interested in becoming a High School Leader this year?

Opportunities are available with both Ken Caryl Middle School & Summit Ridge Middle School.

Some reasons to become a High School Leader include:

It is an honor, privilege, and commitment to be a High School Leader for Outdoor Lab. Students who are Juniors and Seniors in good standing have the unique opportunity to serve as a High School Leader. While at the week-long program, High School Leaders help 6th graders learn about science, history, and mountain ecosystems, among other things. For the leaders themselves, they learn skills in communication, critical thinking/problem solving, self-direction, personal responsibility, leadership and stewardship. To many of the 6th grade students at Outdoor Lab, the most important person is the High School Leader, as they serve as guides, teachers, friends, advisers, and a source of inspiration. In order to fulfill these expectations, the High School Leader must be emotionally mature, use good judgement, and demonstrate a natural love and respect for children and the environment.

In order to participate, you must meet the minimum following qualifications:

If you’d like to take advantage of this opportunity, use the QR code or link below to complete the Outdoor Lab Interest Form.
