Colorado thespian conference

Students currently enrolled in Theatre IV (Stage Production Management) or Technical Theatre III and/or were involved in a Fall Production (Fall Production or Freshman/Sophomore Show) are invited to attend the Colorado Thespian Conference this year. You do not need to be an inducted Thespian to attend.

This year's conference is December 11-13, 2025 at the Colorado Convention Center. We will be having a REQUIRED parent/guardian and student meeting for those interested in attending on Tuesday,October 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

Please note: Students enrolled in Theatre IV (Stage Production Management) are required to attend and compete at the Conference.

Jeffco improv festival

Students currently enrolled in a theatre class or who participated in the musical are invited to attend the JeffCo Improv Festival. This year's festival is April TBA, 8am-4pm, at the Newman Center (on DCPA campus).
The event is free to attend, and students must register themselves.

Jeffco theatre festival

Students currently enrolled in a theatre class are invited to attend the JeffCo Theatre Festival. This year's festival is on October 22nd, 8am-2:45pm, at the Arvada Center for the Performing Arts.
The event is free, but students must provide transportation to and from the Arvada Center and a sack lunch.
**All students not currently enrolled in Stage Production Management (Theatre IV) or Technical Theatre III must register as a NON-PERFORMING PARTICIPANT.**

CO Thespian conference all-state musical number

This year, the Colorado Thespian Conference will open with a musical number featuring Thespians from across the state! If you are interested in auditioning, you must:

Access the audition choreography HERE and learn the short routine
Record yourself doing the combination. Please be sure to record yourself horizontally (if using your phone) and aim for good lighting.
Choose 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song of your choice in the style of the show (see title under Additional Information).
Record yourself (either acapella or with accompaniment) singing your chosen musical theatre selection. Again, record horizontally and aim for good lighting.
Log into Thespian Point Tracker to log into or build your profile.
Upload and submit your audition.
1. Once your account is created with all of your information
  1. Be sure to add your school
  2. Upload your audition video using the menu to the right
  3. In the Menu on the right, select “available auditions”
  4. Select “Colorado Thespians Mainstage Musical Number”
  5. Click “Apply.” There is no fee to audition.
2. If you are a senior who is submitting an audition for the All State Mainstage Number AND senior university/scholarship auditions: please wait until after the October 20 All State deadline to upload your university audition according to audition requirements. Once that is complete, be sure to click submit.

Note: Mp4 or .mov files for video uploads, please.

All Opening Number auditioneers will be notified of the casting by

November 1.

The deadline for audition submissions is October 20 at midnight. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please plan accordingly.
