Writing

Course Description 

Welcome to sixth-grade writing! In this course, you will learn how to write for different purposes. Writing enables us to communicate with others, tell stories, explain our opinions, and reflect on our lives. The different types of writing you learn will be a foundation for writing in different subjects at D’Evelyn.

In addition to studying writing techniques, we will study grammar and mechanics. Grammar and mechanics are the rules for written language. This includes our study of parts of speech, capitalization, punctuation, and sentence structure and types.
