Science

Course Description 

The Earth Science curriculum includes a thorough coverage of textbook content with supplemental labs and activities.  Learning is an active process, and students will be expected to participate by asking questions about class material as well as answering questions posed by the instructor during class.  The curriculum will incorporate the National, Colorado, and Jefferson County Science Standards, which emphasize:

1. Understanding of key concepts and vocabulary

2. Learning to think analytically for solving problems

3. Building the organizational skills to harness knowledge
